About Rabbi Scott Kahn
Rabbi Scott Kahn believes that the complexity of Jewish life demands intellectual honesty, not simplistic answers or easy slogans.
An Orthodox rabbi, educator, writer, and podcast host, Scott has spent his career encouraging people to think deeply, ask difficult questions, and engage honestly with Jewish tradition.
Scott previously served as Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivat Yesodei HaTorah in Beit Shemesh, Israel. As the founder of Jewish Coffee House, he has created a platform for meaningful Jewish conversations. He hosts The Orthodox Conundrum, co-hosts Intimate Judaism, and writes Orthodox Conundrum Commentary on Substack, exploring everything from Jewish belief and religious leadership to relationships, sexuality, and the challenges of contemporary Orthodox life.
Whether behind a microphone, in the classroom, or speaking to an audience, Scott brings intellectual curiosity, a commitment to Torah, and a willingness to tackle subjects that others sometimes prefer to avoid.
Scott lives in Ramat Beit Shemesh, Israel, with his wife and family.
